Arrival of winter...

Snow has become much more frequent in Yellowstone country as of late. The park roads will close soon and the animals will have the park back to themselves for a brief moment. The feelings that the change of seasons can bring is something that we had in common with this fox. We all sense the shortening of days and the increase in wind. We have a desire to revisit old haunts that we have not seen since last winter. This fox live in such close proximity to a bustling park village in the summer and a silent ghost town in the winter. I wonder how she feels about our departure in early November. I would imagine the absence of engine noises might make hearing rodents a bit easier....who knows?
